If you're a fan of the classic Sid and Marty Krofft TV show H.R. Pufnstuf or other entertaining children's TV from that era, then you probably know that many episodes came with a short animated movie before the show started. These cartoons were often very creative, especially the ones made by the Henson Company. You can find videos for all these shows HERE! The Ant Bully Featuring characters from A Bug's Life, this is kind of a prequel to that film. It tells the story of a young boy named Lucas Nickle (voiced by Jesse McCartney) who has ants in his house. Each ant is a special bug that has power to do different things. When Lucas needs a word removed from "a certain book", the ants work together to turn the page the way they want it. Little does Lucas know that he is being pushed around by a bully who keeps making fun of his ant friends. In the end, though, Lucas learns that teamwork can be very powerful and he is able to defend himself from his tormentor. The Ant Bully is a very creative movie which teaches us about the power of friendship and teamwork. Besides, it is just pure fun for children and adults alike. I especially like the fact that it has this retro 1970s feel to it and is very nicely animated in stop motion with clay. It was directed by John A. Davis, who also directed A Bug's Life and the upcoming Monsters vs Aliens.
